Twilight Trip To Forks Washington...

Hi All~

We finally had a nice day here yesterday in Seattle so off to Forks my husband and I went. We really didn't go there to be "Twilight tourists" but to instead scout out some fishing spots. I took a few pictures around the Forks and La Push area as a teaser for you all. My friend Kimberly will be visiting in a couple of weeks and we will go up to Port Angeles, Forks and La Push and get some real good "Twilight"photos for you.

Here are some photos from Forks in the meantime: (I'll show the ones from La Push tomorrow)

Spring IS here...

It is now official to me that Spring has arrived... Some people depend on the groundhog to let them know if or when Spring is going to be here... Some people feel as soon as there are blossoms on the trees and the daffodils pop up it is spring. Others think the first sign of Spring is when the Robin's show up~Yes, those are all sure signs...

BUT I know it's Spring when this little guy shows up whom I have named Rusty. He always appears every Spring and this year he arrived on March 17th!

Don't let Rusty's beauty fool you-He is a MEAN, MEAN hummingbird (I laugh) but he is! The other hummers that wintered here are having quite the time of it since Rusty came back around. For some reason Rusty feels all the feeders are his and his alone. Rusty chases the other hummers off the feeders as soon as they get a inch away from it! Who does Rusty think he is? Just because he can afford to winter in the Bahamas does not give him the right to rule here does it? I think not!

By the way, Rusty is too big for his britches... Not only does he chase all the other hummers away but he goes after birds 100 times his size-You see Rusty thinks he owns ALL the areas around our house and dive bombs the woodpeckers, chick a dees and all the Jays! It is a sight to see! I've even seen him go after the squirrels ~ All the other birds actually run from him~ He is more bothersome then a tiny mosquito buzzing around you in the dark-You know that no matter what you do that mosquito IS going to get you sooner or later! Ugh!

Rusty is also very VAIN, his other favorite past time is showing off how beautiful his colors are~

He IS quite the little model !

AND though Rusty is mean AND vain I still think he is quite a lovely gift~♥

HAPPY SPRING EVERYONE!

Where In The World Is Robin?

Hi Everybody, Long time no blog!

We have been super busy around here the last couple of months. First off my husband is traveling quite a bit for his job so I am running the household on my own for the most part. I ended up getting what I call the "Mack truck" flu last week and was out for the count for a few days. Then we got a great deal on some new carpet so we have been ripping out the old... We get new carpet this Thursday. Here are a couple of photos of our house with the carpet out of it~

Our staircase that you see right when you come in our front door and to the right of it is...

Our formal living & dining room without the carpet.

Randomness...

Yesterday we had 15 to 20 Robin's running around in our front yard...

(my son Tim and friends-Tim and his girlfriend on far right)

I got 3 inches cut off my hair the other day and got bangs... I have naturally curly hair and the stylist decided to straighten it just to see how it would look. My 17 year old son came home and when he saw me he perked up and said, "Well, hello beautiful mother!" :)

I went in to get my "iced, tall in a grande, one pump of chocolate, nonfat, extra ice mocha" the other day. My barista and I got to talking about the book The Host...She had read it. I told her not to tell me anything about the book. She said she liked it better then the Twilight series. As I was grabbing my coffee to leave she said one sentence that summed up the WHOLE book. It didn't hit me what she had said until I was walking out the door. I was floored, I couldn't get over it, why do people do that? After my little rant my daughter Ronnie put her index finger in my arm like she was giving me a shot and said, "I think you need a tranquilizer mom!" I'm still shaking my head in disbelief.

By the way...Our book club blog "The Literary Sister's Society" is up and running, to see it click HERE

We were supposed to go to Spokane today but that JUST got cancelled due to a storm warning over the mountain pass.... We will try again next weekend! I am trying to get all three of the grand kids together for a photo.

By the way...Don't forget to set your clocks forward this weekend. Our church even sent us a E-mail reminder-How many of you have been early or late to church in the past years due to time changes? I'm raising my hand on this one! :)
