A Whale Of A Tale...

You know how they have names now for different vacations? Like a day trip to a water park is a "Daycation" and if you stay home and barbecue it's a "Staycation." If you take a break from blogging it's a "Blogcation." Anyway (I WILL get to the point, really I will) my husband works away from home a lot so we really take advantage of our weekends together and go on many two day weekend trips...We call them "DOScations," you know like uno, dos, tres... So a few weeks ago we headed over to the beach, it was a perfect beach day and my husband took advantage of it by going into the water (wayyyyy too cold for this girl!) He was only going to go up to his knees but ended up waist deep. The nice thing about the beaches in Washington is many of them you can drive onto and park right by where you wanna play. Below is a picture of my husband hanging out in the waves (notice his big muscles!)

So he gets done playing around and heads to our vehicle which is facing the water. While we are sitting there I notice something in the water but don't say anything to him because I can't believe it's true. He looks over at me and sees my eyes wide open staring so he looks over to where I am looking right when a whale blows his water spray up into the air! My husband and I both yelled at the same time "It's a whale!!!" The whale hung around close to shore for quite a while, interestingly enough, it was only a little farther out from where my husband was just minutes before! You can see his spray in the photo below "if" you look real close!

By the way, we took our dog one time on vacation and called it a "Dogcation." My family will be camping and hiking the end of August on our "Campcation" ... Kimberly is coming up this Tuesday and I'm taking her to Forks for a "Twilightcation!" Okay, okay enough with the "cations" I'm just really excited for this week!

HOPE YOU ARE ALL HAVING A GREAT SUMMER!

Blog Sisters~♥

Have you ever met one of your friends from blogland? I am excited to say that I will be meeting one of mine in 5 more days! My blog friend (sister) Kimberly & her daughter Caroline are flying up from California next Tuesday and we are going to..... The Olympic Peninsula, La Push & Forks! I'm so excited! ~Insert Happy Dance Here~

There are so many of you blog sisters that I would LOOOOVE to meet, we all really need to get together some day...Think of the fun that would be! (Lori are you throwing a pumpkin party and inviting us all this Fall? Hint hint, wink wink)

Speaking of blog sisters... Cherry from Cherry's Jubilee sent me the paper craft (bird) that is on the vase above and also the paper flower in the photo below. I just want you all to know she has a wonderful Etsy shop that you should all go and visit. Cherry is very much a perfectionist, you can really see by the amazing detail in all her beautiful crafts. Thanks Cherry for these two, I love them so much!

Spokane, Spokane, SpoCan't, Spokane, Spokane...

If you notice the title of my blog you will see we have been traveling to Spokane to see family MANY times this month. Though the third time we didn't make it. Our beloved mini-van died without warning up on the mountain pass between Seattle and Spokane. So we came back home and looked for a car AND ended up driving to Spokane during the week and buying one there! So in one months time we will have gone to Spokane (300 miles away) FIVE times!
We are getting ready to leave right now for YET another trip... Our Grandson Carson turned 1 year old yesterday-His birthday party is today. Plus my whole family, my brother Ron, his son Ben, our 2 dads, Mom, and our son Ty who just arrived in Spokane from Wyoming will be at the lake the next couple of days. So off we all run AGAIN to join in the fun!

Here are some pictures I wanted to share:

This is my attempt to get a photo of all three grand kids-Notice Landon in the background, he was throwing his hands up after "trying" to rally Carson and Noelle together for a photo.

Happy Birthday precious Carson!

I love this picture of Noelle with her Great Grandparents, though my Mom isn't crazy about it because she isn't wearing any makeup-She may not be wearing makeup but she has lost enough weight that she can fit into MY jeans!

I took this photo of Noelle and her Mommy last week, Noelle is 7 months old today! She has 6 MORE teeth coming in all at once but seems to be handling it well! She has been sitting up on her own now for a while and is crawling but mostly backwards! She has figured out how to get to anything she sees and wants~Oh boy, the "fun" begins!

HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE!
