You know how they have names now for different vacations? Like a day trip to a water park is a "Daycation" and if you stay home and barbecue it's a "Staycation." If you take a break from blogging it's a "Blogcation." Anyway (I WILL get to the point, really I will) my husband works away from home a lot so we really take advantage of our weekends together and go on many two day weekend trips...We call them "DOScations," you know like uno, dos, tres... So a few weeks ago we headed over to the beach, it was a perfect beach day and my husband took advantage of it by going into the water (wayyyyy too cold for this girl!) He was only going to go up to his knees but ended up waist deep. The nice thing about the beaches in Washington is many of them you can drive onto and park right by where you wanna play. Below is a picture of my husband hanging out in the waves (notice his big muscles!)

So he gets done playing around and heads to our vehicle which is facing the water. While we are sitting there I notice something in the water but don't say anything to him because I can't believe it's true. He looks over at me and sees my eyes wide open staring so he looks over to where I am looking right when a whale blows his water spray up into the air! My husband and I both yelled at the same time "It's a whale!!!" The whale hung around close to shore for quite a while, interestingly enough, it was only a little farther out from where my husband was just minutes before! You can see his spray in the photo below "if" you look real close!

By the way, we took our dog one time on vacation and called it a "Dogcation." My family will be camping and hiking the end of August on our "Campcation" ... Kimberly is coming up this Tuesday and I'm taking her to Forks for a "Twilightcation!" Okay, okay enough with the "cations" I'm just really excited for this week!
