Just A Friendly Reminder...

~ Make sure to set your clocks BACK one hour tonight before you go to bed~

I'd like to see a show of hands...How many of you have forgotten to set your clocks back and ended up sitting in your church's empty parking lot? (My hand is raised.)

Gooseberry Patch...

I come from a long line of crafters... I eat, sleep and dream crafts. Many times I wake during the night with a new crafting idea on my mind. I've always wanted to write a Christmas craft book, one full of ideas on decorating and gift giving.

Have you noticed that many craft books only have a couple of ideas worth trying out and the magazines are full of advertising?

I searched bookstore after bookstore trying to find a great Christmas craft book. Last year I finally found one worth talking/writing about.

Gooseberry Patch creators, Jo Anne and Vickie were neighbors back in 1984. Two moms just trying to find a way to do what they love while being able to stay home with their kids. After many conversations over the backyard fence Gooseberry Patch was born.

To go to their website which is full of kitchen gadgets, books, and wonderful gifts click HERE.

They also have a BLOG.

The other day when my husband and I were in Target he saw me eyeing their "bookazine"(shown above) and that sweetie of mine bought it for me! It's is full of great Christmas crafts and amazing recipes too. What it's not full of is advertising, thanks ladies~

Click HERE to see all my favorite Christmas book/craft books. Go to the "cookbook" heading and click on "Christmas." The books are numbered, I think there are 11 mixed in with other recipe books. There is more then one page to view so make sure you go to the bottom and click "view all."

They also have a newsletter, a catalog, sell gift certificates AND are on Facebook & Twitter! (Clicking Red and Green words will take you to each specified area)

SO many ideas, So little time.
We better get busy! ;)

New "New Moon" Trailer...

Press the play button in the middle of the blank screen to view...

By the way, My husband and I took yet ANOTHER day trip to Forks last weekend... I will be posting some great shots of Port Angeles, Forks & the La Push area before New Moon hits theatres on November 20th~

P.S. New Moon looks like it is going to be SO much better then Twilight!

I'm In The Mood For...

I looked outside my window this morning to a beautiful sight. All the leaves have turned amazing shades of yellow, orange and reds, plus it's raining! This puts me in the mood for baking. So I headed over to Country Living Online and scoped out some of their recipes. Here are a few goodies that caught my attention. Just click on the orange highlighted words for the recipes~

Tiered pumpkin spice cake with honey and spice buttercream frosting.

Fall swirled cookies~

Cinnamon - pecan spirals~By the way these are super easy.

Fancy Caramel Apples~

Most of you know I eat gluten free...These recipes (other then the caramel apples/frosting) are NOT gluten free. But I love the design of the cake and cookies and will just change the recipes around to make them fit my needs. That's the great thing about crafts and baking, you can gather ideas here and there then get creative and make them your own~

Going Ons...

Here Are Some Going Ons In The Beck Household...

This is our son Tim. I took this picture of him this week for one of his Senior photos.

Tim is very excited because he will be in his FIRST "official" cage fight (think UFC) this Saturday at 7 pm in Lacey Washington. Tim is well trained so it ought to be a good match. We are excited to have Uncle Ron and many other friends in attendance~ Thanks Ron & friends this means the world to Timmy.

Tim got pretty wet here~I was really having too much fun taking this picture-I might have stalled "a little" longer then I should while taking this shot! Ha! Ha! (sorry son!)

Ronnie and her daughter Noelle went with us when we were taking Tim's yearbook pictures...So OF COURSE I snapped a couple of them too. Aren't the fall colors in the trees behind them just gorgeous!?!

The latest news on our daughter Ronnie you ask? Well, thanks for asking! Ronnie just signed a 3 year contract with a top modeling agency here in Seattle. I will post new updates on Ronnie as her modeling career takes off.

Saving the cutest for last... Noelle turns 10 months old this Sunday~I can't believe how fast she grows. I get to watch her while Ronnie has her photo shoots once a week. Noelle and I really enjoy our time together, she is such a joy. Words can't describe my love for her..... Sigh. :)

So that's our latest....How are you all doing?

I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A BLESSED WEEKEND!

Needing Decorating Motivation?

I have been visiting many of your blogs and you all have been so creative in your Fall decorating. Many of you started weeks ago~Good for you! For those of you who haven't started your Fall decorating (like me) here are some more ideas (aka motivation) from the good people at Better Homes and Gardens Online:

This pumpkin wagon is my favorite~Don't you just LOVE it?

Added Note from Robin: I received a couple of E mails asking me about this wagon, which to me actually looks like an old fashion wheel barrow. My husband is handy and could make this for me but if you or your husband aren't real handy you might be able to find something like this at a antique store. Let your imagination go, you don't need a wheel barrow...A wooden box, apple crate, or any wooden crate painted black, dark brown or dark green would look great. For the lettering on the pumpkin you can get vinyl lettering at a craft store OR do what I would do and either stencil or free hand with a black permanent sharpie... Have fun ladies!

Wouldn't it be nice to walk hand in hand with the one you love through this pumpkin path~Yes, I am a romantic at heart~

For the kids...Cute little pumpkins decorated with faces, placed on top of a wooden stick that's been wrapped with ribbon.

Pumpkin night-lights, no major carving required!

Pumpkin stem ware~ So cute!

Here is how to make it: Cut circles from orange construction paper, cut out the centers, then cut slits in the centers. Cut stems out of green paper and glue them onto the orange circles. Snake four pieces of thin cloth-coated florist's wire around the stem of each glass; at the top, curl the pieces around pencils to make tendrils.

Family Fun...

Last weekend my family got together for a three day gathering...We celebrated birthdays one day then two of the days the guys fished while us girls went shopping. On one of the fishing days the guys were down at a river not far from where we were shopping so we decided to take them lunch...

Noelle just wanted to eat rocks....

My brother Ron and our two dads...

My brother and I have been blessed with two dads. One is our biological dad Ben and the other is our dad Neil who raised us along with our mom since we were young.

"Fish On" for my husband Tim!

Ronnie, Noelle and great grandpa Ben~I love how the sun rays are shining down on them. By the way you can click on any of these photos to enlarge them.

My one and only sibling Ron...

My daughter Ronnie and granddaughter Noelle..

"Fish On" for our dad Neil...(love the hat dad!)

Noelle's great grandpas are quite sure they will have to buy her some pink waders. She's already mesmerized by everything to do with fishing... Personally I think she has her "greats" wrapped around her finger!

All and all it was three wonderful days, the weather couldn't have been better & the fishing was fantastic though it was catch and release for all but one. We had big breakfasts together and loud fish story telling dinners each night!

I miss you guys already, see you all at Thanksgiving.

Have a great weekend everyone~
