Matthew 18:19-20
19"Again I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."NIV Version
I just wanted to say this is the first magazine I have bought in a while that I did not regret buying. It is a special issue of Martha Stewart Living. Martha has wonderful recipes, gardening ideas and crafts in this "The Best" issue-Plus so much more. Even some of the ads in this magazine are impressive.
What I loved is everything in there was actually doable!
On page 108-110 there are directions on creating paper mache' eggs~I was thinking about making these so much lately, that I actually had a dream while napping of a whole different way to craft them!-SO now I have to try the dream way to see if it works.
Does anyone else ever get craft ideas come to them in dreams or while brushing their teeth? ~ Or is it just me?
I also want to wish my Mom and my English Sister Lindsay a very Happy Birthday today!
I hope you both have a wonderful day~
Love you bunches!
By the way, Lucy (Black Cat Ranch) if you are reading this, the roses in my March 12th post are just embellishments. I put them in a row for the photo (not sure yet what I'll use them for) & we did go to Port Townsend/up to Anacortes on our last day trip~Beautiful! :)
Mom, Jacquelynne, Lori & Kimberly(just to name of few of you that try to keep me accountable on taking time out to sew and do crafts.)You and all my other lovely friends out there in blogland might just want to sit down for this one!
I've got my sewing area set up! This is the big hallway overlooking the formal living room right up from the stairs. Tim made this sewing platform for me.
He installed this little doodad right behind the sewing machine~Keeps all my cords nice and neat and out of my way...Love that genius of a man!
Everything is in it's proper place. Hey Lori, recognize the cute monogrammed cup holder you sent me? It has a new purpose -I love it, thanks sis!
I set up a cutting and ironing center-Because any true seamstress knows you've got to press, press, press those seams down!
In the corner are the patterns I've created...Yes, mom the patterns are finished.
I even set up a play area for Princess Newt Newt Nodie Noders (my grand-baby Noelle.)
I can hear you all in my head saying, "this is wonderful Robin, BUT have you actually started sewing?"
I laugh!
Baby steps people baby steps!!!Though I might surprise you!
The fun people at Summit Entertainment sure know how to string their Twilight fans on. They put out a Eclipse trailer today but it is only 10 seconds long. They are posting the full trailer tomorrow-Yes, I will post it here then~
Here is a trailer to a movie called Twilight in Forks. It will be available on the same date as the New Moon DVD is released: 3/20/2010.
This statement nicely describes the movie:
The definitive DVD documenting the town of Forks made famous by the Twilight books and movies. Since the Twilight movies weren't filmed in the real Forks, this is your opportunity to see the town that Stephenie Meyer based her epic teen romance books on. Are there truly vampires and werewolves there? Hear from the real people living their lives in the town fans know and love, including the Chief of Police, the Forks Outfitters employee who gets mistaken for Bella, and the vampire transplant who plays the real-life role of Alice. Visit Forks High School, hear self-described Jacob's grandfather tell the legend of how the Quileutes descended from wolves, and see many more of the people and places that makes Forks and La Push the perfect setting for the Twilight Saga.
I highly recommend this documentary to those Twilight fans out there that are planning vacations to Forks-Especially those that live far away. Forks is as small town as it gets-I'd hate to see people spend a lot of money just to see Forks & La Push. You might want to buy the Twilight in Forks documentary DVD before you spend alot of money on a vacation there. With that said, I think visiting the Olympic Peninsula as a whole, with Forks/La Push included is a much wiser vacation plan.
There is so much to see just right outside of Forks:
Wrap plastic foam egg shapes (available at craft supply stores) with strips of crepe paper, attaching ends with glue or a small straight pin. Embellish with ribbon secured with small straight pins, leaving a long end for tying. Gather eggs at varying heights and tie ribbons together. Hang from a removable adhesive hood or wreath hanger. Add a ribbon bow.
As many of you know, my husband and I are the king and queen of day trips. We are in the process of deciding where to go tomorrow. The weather is beautiful and we like to be out in it. Two weekends ago we headed back to the Olympic Peninsula-Over by Lake Crescent, which happens to be between Port Angeles and Forks Washington. Our first stop was Marymere falls. The round trip hike to and from the falls is a very easy 1.8 miles.
The above photo shows what the trail to Marymere Falls looks like. This is the same area that is mentioned in the Twilight books... Where some hikers around Lake Crescent had the unfortunate run in with wolves, or so the rangers thought.
Here is a bridge we crossed to get to the Falls. They are building a new bigger one-I was half way across when my husband jumped on and started hopping up and down like a crazy man-That bridge was shaking big time. After being married to Tim for over 20 years I expect things like this from him. I just laughed and kept walking hobbling across.
The shock value is gone babe-Good try.
This is me in front of the falls-Horrible picture but we tend to share the good with the bad here at the nest.
Don't you adore my flannel jacket? Yeah, I knew you would.
Our next hike that day was into see the Sol Duc Falls-The photo above shows the trail into it. This hike is only .8 miles into the falls from the trail-head behind the hot springs.
Here is a short movie of the Sol Duc Falls-They are so much bigger and more impressive in person. This movie doesn't do them justice. Turn up your volume to hear them.
So Tim wanted to time our day to where we would end up at Ruby Beach for sunset (insert a "ahhh, he's so romantic" here.) We stopped in and ate dinner at the Forks diner then headed for the beach. We got there 30 minutes before sunset and did some beach combing.
This is the sight we saw as we were leaving...
Good call honey~♥
So now we must decide where tomorrows trip will take us. I thought we were going back to the Olympic Peninsula-But Tim thinks we might want to try someplace else being we have been there 5 times already this year.
